Eleftherios O. Kontis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, on August 2, 1988. In 2007, he started his studies at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received his diploma with GPA 8.09/10 on November, 2013. In 2018, he received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Dissertation title: Measurement-based reduced order dynamic equivalent models for smart-grid analysis). During his Ph.D. studies, he was a scholar of the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (2017 – 2018).
Since 2018, he has been a research fellow at the Power Systems Laboratory of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Moreover, he is a scholar of the Greek State Scholarships Foundation for post-doctoral research entitled as “Real-time assessment of the stability and the dynamic behavior of modern power systems”
He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and IEEE.
